The Fire Suppression Rating Schedule (FSRS) is a manual containing the criteria ISO uses in reviewing the firefighting capabilities of individual communities. The schedule measures the major elements of a community's fire-suppression system and develops a numerical grading called a Public Protection Classification (PPCTM).

There are two versions available:

The currently approved FSRS is available to you now and you can order it as a printed copy or online. Order the FSRS below or call us at 1-800-444-4554.
We filed a revised FSRS in December 2012 and it’s pending approval. This version is available for you to view as a PDF only. It’s not available for ordering or printing. Once approved, printed copies will be available, and ordering instructions will be on this site.

The Building Code Effectiveness Grading Schedule (BCEGS®) — $68.85*
The Building Code Effectiveness Grading Schedule (BCEGS) is a manual containing the criteria ISO uses to assess the building codes in effect in a particular community as well as how the community enforces its codes. The program particularly emphasizes building-code requirements designed to mitigate losses from natural hazards. The schedule develops a numerical grading called a BCEGS classification.

*Fire chiefs, chief building officials, and community chief administrative officials may request a single copy of the FSRS or BCEGS, or on-line access to the FSRS and commentaries, free of charge.
