When a fire department attains a high Public Protection Classification (PPC®), it’s a source of pride and accomplishment. It acknowledges that the fire department provides exemplary community fire protection. Many departments publicize the fact when they earn a Class 1, 2, or 3 rating. They understand that letting people know their community has exemplary fire protection can have a positive effect on residential and commercial insurance rates, community reputation, and quality of life.
ISO Community Hazard Mitigation wants to make it easier for fire departments that have earned a Class 1, 2, or 3 to publicize their rank. To that end, and in response to your feedback to our PPC survey last year, we’ve produced ISO-approved artwork that’s easy to order, download, and use. It features the correct PPC logo and ISO identifications.
You can use the free artwork on fire trucks, mugs, hats, signage, T-shirts, and more. Just visit our website for additional details and to place your order.
“The modern fire department does more than just put out fires,” said Chief Tom Weber, national director of ISO Community Hazard Mitigation. “They’re heavily involved in fire prevention, community risk reduction, and providing emergency services—all things that communities need to know.”
In the coming weeks, ISO will announce additional materials and support services for our mitigation partners that you can use for training, social media, community outreach, and more. It’s all part of our commitment to you.
