The ISO Public Protection Classification (PPC®) program’s Fire Suppression Rating Schedule (FSRS) is strongly influenced by the NFPA 1620 recommendation for annual preincident planning. Preincident planning is one full point of training credit. The video references the importance of preplanning for structural firefighting, and preplanning in the wildland-urban interface (WUI) may be even more important because of the greater risks for catastrophic losses.

It's a manual containing the criteria Verisk uses in reviewing the fire prevention and fire suppression capabilities of individual communities or fire protection areas.
