You Make the Call

While a helicopter hovering over a large-scale emergency scene isn’t an uncommon sight to most people, spotting a drone might be—but, it’s happening more and more. These unmanned aircrafts are part of one of the fastest growing industries, and they’ve made their way into the public sector. Equipped with cameras and recording devices, drones are used during wildland fires, search-and-rescue operations, and other large-scale disaster sites. In addition, they are now hovering over more common emergency scenes, providing incident commanders with critical information for a better assessment of the emergency scene operations.
